Apple Company has disclosed on Monday that iOS 7 is the next-generation version of mobile operating system. This new platform has experienced a major change since the lastly introduced iOS 6. This iOS 7 has a completely new appearance, feel and there are several new features of this latest phone.

All about the new look of iOS 7

The iOS 7 is a drastic exit from all the other generations of iOS that have been launched before. The normal textures and the 3-D basics have provided iOS its signature appearance in the past years. Thus, there arises the question, what’s going to be launched in the next model of Microsoft Company’s phone software. The new iOS 7 has the current look and has more usage of white space, unusual color palette and latest fonts. It cannot be disagreed that it is undoubtedly a big purchase, however Apple has kept several elements of the phone just the same as it had been for iOS 6. These features are its icon shape and the home screen design.

Sliding gesture added to iOS 7

Apple included a new sliding gesture to various applications consisting of Safari, Email and Messages. These have made it much easier to move between in-boxes, messages or open several tabs. This sliding gesture is set in motion by shifting to the left or right when you want to view the messages. Apple has also added up a latest control screen. This is accessible by means of swiping up from the screen’s bottom. This control screen is giving fast and easy accessibility to wireless radios, a flashlight, music controls and brightness settings.

The notifications related to locking screen

The lock screen of iOS 7 has a new completely appearance and feel in order to compete with the rest of the operating system. More important of iOS 7 phone is the support for the notifications than its appearance. This phone enables the users to view more notifications on the lock screen and to take action immediately for these notifications. Besides this, notifications will match with the devices, so if you’re going to mark something on your Mac computer or an iPad, then it is going to be marked as read on your iPhone too.

The multitasking functions of iOS 7

Apple seems to have made considerable improvements in the way multitasking functions inside iOS. Multitasking will now be supported by almost all the applications that are available to operating system. Earlier, only selected applications could work in the backdrop and the users were busy doing the other things. Besides getting expanded support, iOS 7 is smart for multitasking. This phone makes use of new limitations to describe as to when it can and cannot update calls. All these calls will help in increasing your phone’s battery life and also see that the users have the latest information.

The iTunes radio and music player of this phone

Apple has modernized the iTunes store as well as your music player’s appearance with iOS 7. Although this new model has a simple look, it still provides several features. CommaFeed - Alternative for Google Reader

Posted by Muhammed Posted on Tuesday, July 02, 2013
RSS
We know Google is about to shutdown one of their product ‘Google reader’. As per their previous announcement the dead line was on July 1, 2013 but there is still time to switch to an alternate service that can import all your existing feeds.

I was searching for an alternative and found CommaFeed. It is an open-source project and I think its good alternative.

CommaFeed looks similar to the Google reader and the signup is simple and you can be up and running in a matter of seconds. Also you can import all your feeds from Google while you sign up or later. There is data export option is available in case you should try out CommaFeed for a while and then decide to switch to another service and also some other features like keyboard shortcuts which help you speed up common tasks. The real disappointment with CommaFeed is the lack of mobile apps but the Firefox and Chrome extensions are welcome.
