You know the time zone conversion is easy now using Google search. You just need to specify the time zones that you want to convert in Google search and it will display the result in search page itself. Posted by Muhammed Posted on Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Reset is always a good feature for every application and it makes easy to restore all the settings back to default.   In the case of browsers, you may love to restore the settings back when it’s loading slowly or if there is any other problems. Mozilla implemented the reset feature of its browser for some time now.  Now Google added the reset option in their Chrome browser.

Previously it was not easy to reset the Chrome because we had to follow some technical process to accomplish this. Now it is one Click away.

Reset Google Chrome

1. Open Google Chrome and Click the Chrome menu  on the toolbar.

2. Then Select Settings and Click Show advanced settings

3. Find the "Reset browser settings” section and Click Reset browser settings.

4. In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

You are done and it will restore the homepage, new tab page and search engine, disable your extensions and unpin all tabs. It will also clear other temporary and cached data, such as cookies, content and site data.

Google Calling Feature is back - Make call From Hangouts

Posted by Muhammed Posted on Friday, July 12, 2013
When it switched Google Hangouts from Google talk, we missed the ability to make call from Google accounts. Earlier this week Google announced its back, you can make call from hangouts and its better than before. It lets you place calls from within Gmail, Google+, and the Hangouts extension for Chrome and the price of calling to the US and Canada are now free from all the countries where Hangouts calling is available. Also international rates remain low.

Google announced they had improved desktop calling experience in a number of ways like add multiple phone numbers and video participants to the same call; and you can play sound effects (like applause or laughter) with the Google Effects app

CommaFeed - Alternative for Google Reader

Posted by Muhammed Posted on Tuesday, July 02, 2013
RSS
We know Google is about to shutdown one of their product ‘Google reader’. As per their previous announcement the dead line was on July 1, 2013 but there is still time to switch to an alternate service that can import all your existing feeds.

I was searching for an alternative and found CommaFeed. It is an open-source project and I think its good alternative.

CommaFeed looks similar to the Google reader and the signup is simple and you can be up and running in a matter of seconds. Also you can import all your feeds from Google while you sign up or later. There is data export option is available in case you should try out CommaFeed for a while and then decide to switch to another service and also some other features like keyboard shortcuts which help you speed up common tasks. The real disappointment with CommaFeed is the lack of mobile apps but the Firefox and Chrome extensions are welcome.
