Some time you may wonder when you try to open certain utilities in windows like CMD, MSCONFIG, TASK MANAGER and REGEDIT. When you run these commands, it doesn’t bring up the corresponding app. Here is a registry tweak for this issue.

  1. Copy C:\WINDOWS\regedit.exe to the desktop and rename to regedit.com

  1. Open regedit.com and go to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows NT\ Current Version \ Image File Execution Options

  1. Look at any keys named cmd.exe, msconfig.exe, regedit.exe, taskmgr.exe and delete any value name "Debugger".
