Fix slow startup issue with Firefox by disable Hardware Acceleration

Most of the modern browser comes with Hardware acceleration feature that increase the program performance but unfortunately this feature can cause problems if there is any issues with the graphics driver.

In Firefox, it is noted that the hardware acceleration increasing the loading time of the browser even if you running without add-ons. By default this feature will be enabled, so manually disable it and enjoy the browsing experience with Firefox if you are facing any issues with slow start up.

How to disable Hardware Acceleration?


1. Open Firefox and tap on the Alt-key on the keyboard, then select Tools > Options from the menu bar OR Click the Orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button

2. In the Firefox Options, click the Advanced tab and select "General"

3. Then find the option Use hardware acceleration when available and uncheck the check box.



4. Click OK and Restart the Firefox
